Description

Pull up a chair at the table with the Ormond, a set of four armless dining chairs in beige textured fabric. Each rounded, gently curved backrest is held from behind by a slim rail that runs down into the rear legs. The foam-padded seat sits 46 cm high and is 48.5 cm deep. The iron frame and tapered legs carry a walnut-look heat-transfer print: warm mid-century colour on metal, not timber. Being armless, each chair tucks in close to the table between meals.

Are the legs solid timber?

No. The legs and frame are iron, finished with a heat-transfer print that gives them a walnut look. Walnut names the colour and grain of the finish, not the material. The legs taper from 32 mm at the top to 22 mm at the foot.

How high and deep is the seat?

The seat sits 46 cm off the floor and is 48.5 cm deep, on a chair 79 cm high overall. It is padded with foam and upholstered in the same beige textured fabric as the backrest.

What shape is the backrest?

A rounded, gently curved pad in beige textured fabric over foam. A slim curved rail in the walnut-look finish wraps around it from behind and runs down into the rear legs. The curve reads from the back of the chair as well as the front.

How many chairs come in the set?

Four identical armless Ormond dining chairs. The same design also comes as a taller bar chair with a footrest, sold as a pair.

How do I care for it?

Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills promptly; avoid harsh chemicals, prolonged moisture and direct sunlight. Vacuum the fabric gently with an upholstery attachment and spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent; avoid soaking. Wipe metal parts with a soft, dry cloth.
