$499.00

This Leva dining armchair is shaped as one sculpted form. The rounded back wraps forward into the arms, a slot-shaped cut-out opens the backrest just above the seat, and an arched opening runs along each side beneath the arm. Rust velvet covers the whole chair down to its four wide block legs, with piped edges tracing the arms and arches. The seat sits 50 cm off the floor, the chair arrives fully assembled, and it also suits a lounge room, bedroom or study as an occasional chair.

FAQ

What are the openings in the chair?

There are two kinds. A slot-shaped cut-out sits at the base of the backrest, just above the seat, and an arched opening runs along each side beneath the arm. Both are shaped into the upholstered shell, which keeps a chair of this size from reading as a solid block.

How big is the Leva armchair?

It is 71 cm wide, 68 cm deep and 80 cm high, with the seat 50 cm off the floor. At 71 cm wide it takes more room at the table than an armless dining chair, so allow for that width when spacing chairs along a table.

What is it upholstered in?

A soft velvet in a warm rust colour. It covers the backrest, arms, seat and all four legs, and piped edges trace the arms and the side arches.

What are the legs like?

Four wide, block-shaped legs, upholstered in the same rust velvet as the rest of the chair. The front pair continue straight down from the arms, so the chair reads as one continuous upholstered form.

Does the Leva Dining Chair Armchair Velvet Fabric Rust Orange need assembly?

No — it arrives fully assembled.

How do I care for it?

Vacuum the fabric gently with an upholstery attachment and spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent; avoid soaking.

What is it best suited to?

It suits contemporary dining rooms, diners who like to linger at the table and the head of a dining table. It is less suited to narrow tables with tight chair spacing or outdoor use.

Will it fit through my doorway and stairwell on delivery?

It is delivered fully assembled in a single carton measuring 72 × 70 × 84 cm (15 kg). The carton's narrow face is 72 cm, close to the clear opening of a standard internal door, so it may be a tight fit. Please measure your narrowest access point — doorway, stairwell turn, lift and tight corners — against these carton sizes before delivery. Unsure? Ask our assistant with your doorway width.
