The backrest is a wide curve with rounded, forward-reaching wings that narrows to a slim upholstered stem behind the seat, all on a plywood and iron frame.

Is it counter height or bar height?

Counter height. The seat sits 65 cm off the floor and is 44 cm deep, which pairs it with kitchen islands and benchtops. It sits lower than a bar-height stool, so it is not the right match for a tall bar counter.

Does it have a footrest?

Yes. A four-sided black footrest joins the four legs low down, so there is somewhere to rest your feet whichever way you sit. It is finished in black against the grey upholstery.

Are the legs covered in fabric too?

Yes. All four legs are wrapped in the same soft grey textured fabric as the seat and backrest, with a small black cap at each foot. Under the fabric each leg is a 32 mm iron tube, part of the chair's plywood and iron frame.

How many bar chairs come in the set?

Two identical Emma bar chairs in grey. The same design also comes as a dining-height chair, sold as a pair.
