Description

Display books, plants and keepsakes in Jinan's seven open compartments, laid out in a staggered grid of tall, wide and small openings. Below them, a two-door cabinet on steel hinges hides what you would rather not see, with shelving inside. Paired black handles meet where the doors close, and tapered black legs splay out beneath the 80 cm oak-look case.

FAQ

Is the Jinan bookshelf solid oak?

No. The case is particleboard and MDF with an oak-look melamine finish, so the grain is a printed surface rather than solid timber. The handles are black metal and the doors hang on steel hinges.

How many shelves does it have?

Seven open compartments sit above the cabinet, in a staggered mix of tall, wide and smaller openings rather than even rows. The two-door cabinet below has shelving of its own.

What is behind the doors?

A cabinet with a shelf and a centre divider, closed by two doors on steel hinges. Paired black handles meet where the doors close, so the pair opens from the middle.

How much floor space does it need?

80 cm across and 40 cm deep, standing 178 cm tall. Check the height against any overhead shelf, light or sloping ceiling, and leave room in front for the cabinet doors to swing open.

Does the Jinan 80cm 2 Door Bookshelf Oak need assembly?

Yes — it is flat-packed for home assembly.

How do I care for it?

Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills promptly; avoid harsh chemicals, prolonged moisture and direct sunlight. Wipe metal parts with a soft, dry cloth.

What is it best suited to?

It suits lounge rooms needing display with hidden storage, home offices or studies and book collections mixed with décor. It is less suited to buyers wanting solid-timber construction or anyone wanting evenly spaced shelves.

Will it fit through my doorway and stairwell on delivery?

It is delivered flat-packed in a single carton measuring 170 × 50 × 18 cm (56.8 kg). The carton's narrow face is under ~70 cm, so it should clear a typical internal doorway — please still confirm against your own access. Please measure your narrowest access point — doorway, stairwell turn, lift and tight corners — against these carton sizes before delivery. Unsure? Ask our assistant with your doorway width.
