FAQ

What are the dimensions of the Ellen desk?

The Ellen measures 120 cm wide, 50 cm deep and 76 cm high.

What is the Ellen made from?

It is built from solid Acacia timber with a brushed black finish and brushed gold metal handles.

How many drawers does it have and how do they run?

It has two solid timber drawers on full-extension metal runners, so each drawer pulls fully clear of the frame.

How do I care for the brushed black finish?

Wipe with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners and standing moisture on the timber.

Can the Ellen be used as a console table?

Yes. At 50 cm deep it suits a hallway or a spot behind a sofa, as well as use as a writing desk.

Does the Ellen 120cm Writing Desk Console Table Black need assembly?

Only minimal assembly, the legs attach to the base.

Will it fit through my doorway and stairwell on delivery?

It is delivered assembled (legs to attach) in a single carton measuring 60 × 130 × 39 cm (40 kg). Every carton's narrow face is under ~80 cm, so it should clear a typical internal doorway, please still confirm against your own access. Please measure your narrowest access point, doorway, stairwell turn, lift and tight corners, against these carton sizes before delivery. Unsure? Ask our assistant with your doorway width.

What spaces is the Ellen 120cm Writing Desk Console Table Black best suited to?

It is well suited to home offices and study nooks, hallways and entrances as a console and behind a sofa in an open-plan lounge room.
